Good Quality - questionable though
My only real complaint is the complete lack of discussion anywhere on the site about the quality and construction of the anchors that actually hold the camera. They’re extremely thin pieces of cord, especially when compared to something like a Peak Design anchor, and that’s really the only part that matters to me
I don’t need marketing language…just tell me they’ve been tested, tell me they won’t fail, tell me something. As it stands, you have to dig into the spec sheet to even find that they’re made of Dyneema. I already know what Dyneema is, so logically that checks out, but still.
I even cut one of the spare anchors open to see what was inside, and honestly, it didn’t instill much confidence lol. I don’t actually think it’s going to fail that’s not what I’m saying but I now have a constant low level anxiety about my camera falling all day, and it’s genuinely affecting my creativity. Worst part it i havent even used a normal lens with my camera this week just a pancake. I will probably change straps for the zoom lenses
This should be a much bigger topic. For some of us, this is our only camera, and it represents a significant amount of saved money. When that’s the case, reassurance around the one component that keeps it from hitting the ground really matters.
